To complete your FAFSA, you’ll need Sacred Heart University’s school code: 001403.

Scholarships

You may be eligible for scholarships from a wide variety of outside sources. We encourage you to do your own research and explore all options.

Military Benefits

If you’re a veteran or active member of the U.S. military, there are several financial aid options available to you. In addition to being eligible for Post-9/11 and Montgomery GI bill support, SHU supports the Yellow Ribbon Program.

These programs require a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) and DD214 forms with expiration dates. Other dependents must provide dependent ID card or their sponsor’s Department of Defense ID card with the expiration date.

Education Partnership Opportunities

Sacred Heart University is proud to partner with a number of companies in providing education partnership opportunities for their employees. You may be eligible to receive discounted tuition.

Why Investing in Your Education Benefits Your Employer Too

Learning online offers the flexibility to continue in your current job. This may allow you to take advantage of employee tuition reimbursement, offered by many corporate employers.

If you need help convincing your employer to support your education, here are three reasons the benefits of tuition reimbursement go both ways:

  • New Skills:

You’ll be bringing new skills to your organization right away. As you upgrade your skill set in preparation for your future, they’ll see the benefits of a more skilled, driven employee today.

  • Financial Benefits:

Seeking, interviewing and onboarding new talent is a costly process for your employer. Retaining your skills and experience makes economic sense. Not to mention the IRS tax breaks they can leverage for providing educational support.

  • No Disruption to Work:

With online, asynchronous education, you’ll be able to keep your work schedule consistent, completing your daily coursework when it makes sense for you.

Ask your human resources department, or your manager, if your organization would consider tuition reimbursement.
