Sacred Heart’s online Accelerated RN to BSN offers the same CCNE-accredited curriculum as our traditional RN to BSN program. It features coursework grounded in essential topics like evidence-based practice, nurse leadership, care management and global health. Each course is designed to help you develop the advanced skills you’ll need for the next step in your nursing career. In the accelerated program, you will take two courses at a time to finish your degree in as few as 10 months.

This program is designed to be completed in as few as 10 months. You’ll take two courses at a time to finish your degree faster than students in our traditional RN to BSN program.
This program is designed for licensed registered nurses who have an associate degree in nursing and 90 credits to transfer. It is ideal for working nursing professionals who want to earn their baccalaureate degree in less than one year by finishing in 10 months.
Students in the Accelerated RN to BSN program complete eight total courses. The curriculum is the same as the standard RN to BSN program, but you will take two courses at a time. You will also complete 72 clinical hours.
Admission requirements for the Accelerated RN to BSN include:
- 90 transfer credits
- Associate degree in nursing
- Minimum GPA of 2.5
- Official transcripts
- Copy of current, unencumbered U.S. RN license in your home state and a copy of any other state RN license
- Résumé
- Interview questionnaire
- Two recommendation letters from academic or professional references
- Background check
- Prerequisite courses in Social and Behavioral Science, Anatomy & Physiology I and II, and Statistics for Decision Making
The Accelerated RN to BSN follows a cohort model with one program intake per year, in August.
The Accelerated RN to BSN program is offered at the same competitive tuition rate as our traditional RN to BSN: $390 per credit hour.
Students in the Accelerated RN to BSN program benefit from the same CCNE-accredited curriculum and flexible online format as our standard RN to BSN. The only difference is that students complete two courses at a time.
