Degree and Minimum GPA	Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited college Minimum 3.0 GPA
Transcripts	Official transcripts of all prior nursing and academic work
Official GMAT/GRE	No GMAT/GRE required Computer TOEFL score equivalent to 80% on a 100-question test
Additional Requirements	Résumé Statement of professional goals Two letters of recommendation (one from a supervisor from a current position in health care, and one from a professional nursing peer) Current, unencumbered RN license in your home state and a copy of any other state license, including advanced practice licensure and certification Proof of individual and professional liability insurance coverage that meets current state requirements prior to first clinical course Complete criminal background check Prerequisite undergraduate course in statistics. Undergraduate research course recommended Note: Students may be required to travel significant distances to access clinical sites and achieve the necessary clinical hours.

International Students

At Sacred Heart University, we welcome students from all around the world. If you are an international student and are interested in enrolling in the online MSN, you are required to submit the items listed above, as well as the following:

Course Evaluation	A course-by-course evaluation (and a translation, if applicable) from an acceptable transcript evaluation services agency, such as World Education Services.
TOEFL, IELTS or MELAB scores	If English is not your native language, you need a minimum TOEFL score of 550 (PBT), 213 (CBT), or 70 (iBT). Or, a minimum IELTS score of 6.

If you cannot provide proof of English language proficiency, Sacred Heart University can administer an online English proficiency test. Also, please note that international students on an F-1 visa cannot enroll in online programs.

Transfer Credit

The online MSN PMHNP program allows students to transfer up to nine credits earned in previous coursework. This is subject to credit eligibility and program director approval.
